Guidelines For Swinging A Golf Club

Starting a backswing is often considered to be a vital step for you to take a good shot. It is true, but starting a backswing definitely is not the only thing to do. There are quite a few things you need to watch out for, if you desire to get the perfect shot.

If you have started your backswing, by the time you get to this step, you will find that the club is right above your head. Now, this is the time you pay attention to this fact – You should now look at swinging your club cleanly, and not your body. You will lose out on quite a bit of power and energy if you end up swinging your body and not the club. Surprisingly, quite a lot of people do this.

While moving ahead with the backswing, a lot of people tend to lift their left knee slightly above the ground level. Just because some pro golfers admit that this habit is acceptable, beware that it takes a great deal of practice. Some times, you will find that lifting your left knee above the ground level may throw you off balance. Maintaining your balance intact is the best prescription for you to get the best shot, and thus, you should try and avoid lifting your left knee.

The lower part of the body below the waist, should be turned at 45 degree angle. Keep your shoulders at an angle of 90 degree. Position your left shoulder below your chin. Make sure your head is centered over your ball. Keep your left arm straight through entire backswing and fold your right arm to your side.

Remember these are just simple basic guidelines to help you play better. You need not follow them all if you are not comfortable. Players have different styles of coaching, and while you practice, you may have one of your own too.

focusing on your back swing here. If you have a good backswing to start with, you have won half the battle in getting the perfect swing.

Intro To The Takeaway

You don’t have to be Superman to get the ball way down the fairway, you just have to strike it well. To achieve this, start by lining yourself up, and align your club. Try to keep your club right on the ground as you start your backswing. Your right shoulder must be just slightly lower than your left (This will be opposite if your left handed). A quick note here - If you start back with too much pace you with not have a good shot, I’ll explain why. This will result in a rather uncomfortable swing plane, resulting in erratic
shots. Believe me, If your shoulders, arms and hips are in a good position, you will surely get a much better swing.

There is a set of players who work on wanting to hit the ball as hard as they can without really looking at the basics. It’s an interesting fact indeed - however if this is you all is not lost, all you need to do is focus more on a smooth, easy swing with your whole body moving as one. Generally speaking, most golfers will achieve greater distance and accuracy, by simply making these small adjustments to their swing.

It’s every golfers dream to be able to hit that perfect shot over and over again. It all comes down to your technique. If your interested in learning more, see this article,Perfect Golf Swing

All About The Turn

A great backswing is often considered to be a good start to the perfect golf swing, but there is quite some work to be done after this. Every golfer must pay close attention to their whole body at all times, when starting the backswing, keep a close eye on how your right arm is positioned. Ideally, it should be snuggled a bit in your body, to get the best swing possible. One more piece of advice, try to be loose, through this whole process!

What direction is your club shaft pointing - is it pointing up? Is it right back? If this happens, at this point of time, your wrists should start bending naturally. You will want to tighten your grip on your club, don’t do this. Remain loose and casual, but in doing so, you should be in control of the club.

The objective of the backswing is to ensure you get into a position where you can
make the downswing. If you want to have the best possible downswing, you have to make sure that your front shoulder, your arms and your wrists are in the perfect position. The club should be in a perfect position, high in the air just behind your head. Your front knee should be slightly bent, in line with your back knee. Once this happens, you are good to commence your downswing. I hope you found these tips helpful.
