Sharpening Your Skills At Golf School

30

When people decide they want to get serious about their golf game they decide to invest in going to golf school. There are many fine golf schools all over the world but the majority of the PGA golf schools are in the United States. You will find golf schools all over the country but usually they are located in traditional vacation spots like California or Florida. Hardcore golfers can go out to the desert and learn the game in the schools of Arizona which is rapidly becoming the place for PGA professionals to live and train. Wherever you decide to go for golf school just remember that you are there to learn and that the beach will have to wait, at least until this golf lesson is over.

Golf schools are like any other business in that they need to accept reality to survive. For example, golf schools in Florida have to accept the fact that people are not going to spend their money on a golf boot camp in the middle of the Florida swamps. Almost all full time golf schools are also resorts that offer luxury accommodations, PGA grade golf courses, and everything else you would find at any other luxury resort. Much of the golf you will be involved in will be with the lessons but the next time you step out on the course with your friends you will have the lessons learned to help you and that makes a golf school/resort kind of like a working vacation.

Don’t Forget The North

The game of golf was born in Scotland and the climate in Scotland is nothing like the climate in Scottsdale, Arizona. Scotland is cold, rainy, and cloudy most of the time and the courses provide what is called links golf. Links golf basically means no trees and very little water. Links golf is rolling hills in the middle of the fairway and huge bunkers placed in rude places. Since going to Scotland can be expensive you may want to consider a golf school up north in either Upstate New York or New England. If you do just one vacation there in the Autumn you will not regret it and the climate at that time of year will make you feel like you just played in Scotland.

So get your checkbook out and pay that tuition because it is time to go to golf school. You can make a career out of it or a vacation out of it but whatever you decide make sure you have fun with it. There is nothing worse than paying a lot of money to be mad at a little white ball. You can get mad at it on your home course where it is cheaper.
