Develope Your Own Set-up Routine

a target=”_blank” title=”How To Golf For Beginners” href=”http://www.howtogolf-rm.com”>How to golf for beginners and having your own set-up routine is important. Whether your a beginner or intermediate player you have to have your own unique set-up routine that you use to prepare yourself for every shot.

Everyone has their own perspective and outlook about golf. It is how you approach the game that will determine how good a golfer you will become. You should be willing to accept some failures when playing golf because I guarantee it will happen. It is the greatest game there is and if your willing to put in some practice and develop your own routine while your playing you can become very good at this game.

I am going to explain to you how I set-up for my shot and it should help you as well. For myself, golf is a very relaxing game. It doesn't matter if I shoot a great score or a lousy score, I just enjoy playing. I enjoy the beutiful scenery, the smell of the fresh cut grass, but the one thing that attracts me to golf the most is the fact that this is a game that can never be mastered. You always have room to improve.

I always go to the golf coarse early enough so I have time to warm up on the practice tee. I cannot stress enough the importance of getting loose and warmed up before you start play. This is when your mental preparations will begin. I
have been playing this game of golf for so long that I have developed my own set-up routine for addressing the ball. You should develop your own personal routine as well.

When at the practice tee I will place an iron on the ground to help me with my alignment. This helps me when I set my feet to make sure they are placed properly. I will stand behind the ball and visualise in my head what I want the shot to do. When I am setting up for any shot, I will begin with my feet together so I can check my distance from the ball. Once that is done, I put the club face behind the ball making sure it is aligned to the target and square to the ball.

I then set my left hand first making sure it is in the proper position. If my left hand is in good position than my right hand fits right into place. I then spread my feet apart starting with my left foot first. I continue to start with my left foot because it determines where I place the ball in my stance. This will also make it easy for me if I need to make any adjustments of the ball to my stance.

Once my feet are set in place I will open my left foot slightly towards the target. This will allow me to clear my hips easier since my flexibility has tightened up over the years. it is not that easy for me to turn my body through the swing as it was when I was younger.

With my set-up now complete I am prepared to deliver my swing. If everything is correct the ball will go exactly where I aimed it.

Golf is all about repetition and repeating the same swing over and over. If you develop your own set-up routine this will take you one step closer to being a more consistent golfer.

The beginner’s guide to know how to swing a club

If there had to be a game which can be played well only with a lot of practice, dedication and commitment, it has to be golf. In this game, right from the backswing to stroking the ball, every small thing that you do counts at the end deal.

How to get the perfect backswing

The backswing really is the first step for anyone to start playing a game of golf. This is the set of motion which sets of all other activities to follow, and thus it is important you get your backswing right, else the resultant activities will also suffer.

Do you know how to achieve full power from your natural swing? It’s really not that difficult with proper instruction, Learn how, The Golf Swing Book

The step-step process for starting the backswing

A good backswing normally starts with you taking the position correctly, after which you need to start making small movements with your arms.

Be warned against starting off with a speedy backswing, because this could result in a steep swing plane further causing a reduction in the accuracy and the power on your hits. You must also note that your right shoulder has to be little lower than the left, especially if you are right handed. With this now, you can start your backswing but make sure to have a fluid motion between your arms, shoulders and hips to get it right.

Starting your backswing with the help of only your arms and shoulders is a bad habit, which most golfers, especially the beginners fall prey to. This can be resisted by you if you focus on the fact that you need to get optimal power for your shots, which can only be possible if you have a backswing with a fluid motion of your body parts. For starters, look at how your arms, shoulders and upper legs move in cohesion.

Completing the backswing - Here’s how

What people don’t know about golf is that when the backswing has to come through, the body moves slightly. This is not to mean that you must start dancing all over the place but one thing is for sure - If you can have a good positioning for your elbows and arms, you are guaranteed
good power on your shots.

What happens when the club is right above your head? This is when you go about bending your wrists slightly, but please note to be under stress because in such a situation, you may tighten your grip on the golf club. A good grip is where you can be firm with golf club during the backswing and yet feel relaxed all the time.

Once you are done with all of this, having your body moving around a bit until the left shoulder is atop the right shoulder in position, works well. Make sure your left knee is bent slightly towards the right, and if this happens, then you are ready for the mighty downswing.

There are actually a lot of great books out there, that can help golfers at any level, however you have to implement what you learn. If your interested in reading more about finding help, or golf books, click on this link, Golf Swing Tips & Techniques
