Finding Complete Golf Tips Online

People have been fascinated with mastering the often frustrating game of golf ever since the game was invented back in the 15th century. Since 1750 the game of golf evolved into what we know it as today. But mastering the game of golf is still as difficult as ever, even though golf equipment technology and teaching techniques have improved greatly.

Fortunately, nowadays we have access to golf tips online through the Internet and golf tips newsletters. Although I have played golf for over 30 years, I struggled to master the game until recently. With the various golf resources available on the Web, it is now easier to learn new techniques that can make a big difference with your golf game.

There are also many first-rate paid products, like golf instructional videos, golf swing training aids, and even a few golf e-books that can help you master the game. But, you can also find some valuable free golf tips online as well. Take into account that you will find many different techniques - especially as regards to the transition from back-swing to downswing and the golf grip.

Just try out the different techniques and see what works for you. The golf swing is a fairly complex movement and there are several styles; from the newer stack and tilt golf swing to the traditional swing. Some online golf tips instruct you to grip the club firmly, tightly, or even loosely. These terms are quite subjective as they don't really tell you the amount of pressure to use - so just experiment until you find the right grip - I prefer a firm grip.”

When finding golf tips online, remember that there is more to golf than just the golf swing. Search for websites that show you the most all-inclusive golf tips. Probably one of the most important aspects of golf is the mental game of golf; which is often ignored. You want free golf tips? First, learn to dominate your inner game of golf.

It is important to know what the right golf equipment is for your type of game (golf clubs and balls.) If you are a novice, look for clubs that are matched for the beginner golfer as they are more forgiving to miss-hits. Buy a driver and fairway woods with a graphite shaft, large titanium head, and perimeter weighting. For irons, choose iron shafts for accuracy, more sole weighting, and wider soles. For high handicap golfers or beginners, play a two-piece, firm feel, mid spin golf ball.

Look for golf tips online that cover the whole aspect of golf. Some of the things you need to learn are the grip; setup and stance; backswing, transition, and downswing; driving, fairway shots, chipping, bunker shots, and putting; course management; how to fix problems like the slice, hook, and pull / push shots; and the different trouble shots you will encounter - playing into the wind, deep rough, hill lies, and more.

Of course, you can pay a professional golf instructor to learn all these things, but you will end up paying a fortune for dozens of lessons. I would recommend starting out to learn as much as possible with free online golf tips. You could then take a few one-on-one golf lessons and then go to the driving range to practice. Finally, get out on the golf course and play a round of golf - at least twice a week. Remember, to master the game of golf, you need to practice, practice, practice!

Mental Golf Techniques To Take Your Game To The Next Level

As golf players, we are always pushing to perfect our game. It is a continual battle for improvement that seams never ending. Even the professional golfers are constantly working on their game. When you see even the pros struggling to maintain a constant level, that shows you how difficult golf can be.

Why is it that only about 5% of all the golfers in the World can break 70? What is it that those golfers have that we have not got? According to golf manufacturers and their advertising claims, we need the same expensive golf equipment that the pros use to play to their level.

That obviously is marketing hype, as you can now pick up the same driver that a PGA star used last year for under $200. So, many of us do have technologically advanced clubs and golf balls that the pros use; why are we still unable to break 70 or even 80?

For some reason the average golf score has barely changed during the last 30 years. Billions of dollars have been invested in developing new technologically advanced golf balls and clubs. Then add a few billion more on advertising that tells us that we need these expensive clubs and balls to improve.

Today, we can buy clubs that are easier to play, are more forgiving, cavity back and wide sole irons, plus golf balls that can fly a mile in a straight line. Yet the vast majority of golfers are still struggling to break 90! It appears that the perfect golf game can not be bought; not even with the dozens of new golf training aids, modern instruction methods, or the many golf swing guides.

There must be something that the top 5% of golfers know that we don’t. It appears that that “thing” that they possess is mastery of the Mental Game of Golf. That is the missing ingredient that can promote the quickest and most lasting change in any golfer’s game. It is interesting to note that this is the only area that doesn’t cost a penny to use, however hardly anyone uses it.

The mental golf game: Using your mind in a calculated, methodical and focused way is the surest method of improving your game and lowering your scores. Mastering the Inner Game of Golf can do wonders for your game. But you have to understand how to implement the methods.

Once you do, you will have confidence in yourself and your game, have clear focus and mental toughness, be able to control your attention, cure your golf nerves and anxiety, and eliminate anger from your game – amongst other things.

Awareness of the mental game of golf is what separates the rest of us from the top 5% of golfers. You can see it in action on the PGA Tour because all those guys have access to the same equipment, golf swing gurus, and putting gurus. The difference between them comes down to how well they master their mental game of golf during each tournament.

Visibly, at their intensity level and with all the pressure and media reporting, it is hard for them to maintain high levels of concentration and focus day after day, week after week. That is why even the likes of Tiger Woods can not win every major in a year or even dominate the majority of events in a season, every season.

But for weekend golfers like us, understanding and using mental golf techniques can have an immediate and long lasting positive affect on our playing level. It is the quickest way to lower your scores and take your game to the next level. If you would like more information on how to start, then read How to Learn the Mental Game of Golf. You will also find a couple of free reports, Mental Game Tips and Mental Game Self Assessment, that you can download to get you started.
